Your name doesn’t have to begin with an “O” to have your very own Favorite Things list for the holidays.
For the month of December, our Two Chicks and a Pot catering team is going to share some of our Favorite Things.
We each have our own favorite foods that we love for this year’s events. Working with our clients to create custom menus for their catered events, as well as working with fresh, seasonal, local and organic Florida foods gives us the opportunity to share our favorites with them.
First up is our Two Chicks and A Pot President and Chef Beth!
It was very interesting to see how Beth responded to this question as she gets to touch and taste a majority of the foods being touched by our Two Chicks and A Pot culinary team.
For cocktail hour Beth’s response was a Grazing Table with an assortment of cheeses, fruit, snacks, and nuts.
Which is very cool because we know that our culinary team makes some awesome scratch made cheese dips and spreads.
For her Favorite Things, dinner menu selections, Beth went with some incredible comfort foods.
Winter Harvest Salad with Apples, Cranberries, Walnuts and Cheddar Cheese
One of our fresh seasonal comfort food salads that bends several flavors and textures into one incredible seasonal salad.
Chicken with Bacon and Rosemary Cream Sauce
We’re guessing Beth picked this dish because it is a holiday in a bite. A wonderful chicken entrée with smoky crisp bacon, a warm cream sauce with a touch of fresh herbal touch of Rosemary,
Sous-Vide Bourbon Beef Tips
OMG, sous-vide is a slow cooking method where food is vacuum sealed and submerged in water cooking it at a consistent temperature. Cooking beef tips with bourbon infuses the beef with deliciousness and makes it oh so tender.
Enough said, the ultimate comfort food. Thick, creamy homemade mashed potatoes are the ultimate comfort food and pairs perfectly with Beth’s two entrée selections.
Honey Glazed Baby Carrots
Again, this is the perfect side dish for these two entrees; fresh baby carrots, cooked until just slightly tender and finished with sticky, sweet local Florida honey.
We hope that Beth’s Favorite Things menu items have shared a little bit of her love of comfort food and fresh local, seasonal ingredients.
We can’t wait to see what the rest of our Two Chicks and A Pot catering team picks for their Favorite Things.
