As your wedding day quickly approaches, we are just as excited about your big day as you are! About 2 to 4 weeks before your wedding day our catering team begins our final review process, crossing our T’s dotting our I’s.

The process of scheduling staff, lining up our food purchases, organizing hard goods and planning out our food production has a lot of moving parts that depend on you for a number of important details.
Here are some of the pieces our Catering Event Specialist will need to know from you leading up to your wedding.
Guest Count
Obviously, purchasing and preparing food takes detailed planning and it all revolves around your guest count. We will need to have a count broken down into a few separate pieces. The number of adult meals, kids meals for children ages 3 to 10 and the number of vendor meals you will need.
With vendor meals, be sure to check to see who might have an assistant with them. Is there a second shooter with your photographer, or two attendants for your photo booth?
Timeline
We know there are a lot of details that fit together to make your wedding reception move smoothly. Being sure our service team knows how toast or parent dances work around your dinner service ensures that all of the pieces come together. Your wedding planner has collected all of the details and confirmed with the vendors as to how the reception will flow.
If by chance you are not working with a wedding planner, your DJ who will emcee the wedding reception will have the timeline on how everything will flow.
Number of Tables
Knowing the number of tables is how we know how many of each service piece we need, items like water carafes and bread baskets that are placed on each table.
Dietary Restrictions
Notes and information on your guests with special dietary requests, such as vegan or vegetarian meals, is also something we need to confirm. The meals are prepared according to the list you share with us, so being sure we have the correct numbers, the specifics of the allergy or restriction and the table where the guest is seated are very important.

Bartending Notes
Who is providing your liquor and ice and when will it be delivered? Are you working with the Two Chicks and A Pot team for our Bartending Package? Have you added on any glassware enhancements, or do you need to add in pint or rocks glasses?
Knowing the pieces you need to organize and what wedding vendors can assist you with is key. However, our team is here to help walk you through the final review process. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us by at hello@twochicksandapot.com.
