It’s Beth’s turn! You may have noticed we are working our way through introducing you to our team and having a little fun as we let know a little more of about their personality.
This week is our President, Beth Hazley’s turn. We’re going to ask her the same questions we asked the rest of the team!
Beth was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and moved to Pompano Beach as a toddler and lived in North Carolina for a short time.

Two Chicks: Thanks Beth, this is going to be fun. You have lived in Florida most of your life, do you miss the change of seasons?
Beth: I don’t miss the cold seasons, I’m definitely a Florida girl and hate the cold. My favorite Florida season is the fall.
Two Chicks: If it were your last day on earth what would your last meal be?
Beth: I LOVE Thai food, but looking back, I’d have to say my grandmother’s pot roast with mashed potatoes and gravy.
Two Chicks: YUM, that sounds delicious. So, beer, wine or cocktail?
Beth: I’m actually allergic to beer, wine, and champagne, and cocktails make me sleepy. So I mostly avoid them. I did make a hot chocolate with bourbon and peppermint schnapps for a vendor dinner. That was wonderful! And, I love a good margarita on occasion!
Two Chicks: I think we already know the answer to this next question. What do you like to do on your day off? And, if money were no object where would you go on vacation?
Beth: I get very few days off a year. I always make grand plans, like going to Disney or something. We mark the calendar and make sure to spend it with family!
Two Chicks: We know you have two adorable Beagles, tell us about them.
Beth: Their names are Kya and Katie. Katie is four and was a Christmas gift for my grandson who lives with me. Kya was a rescue and is eleven, she had anxiety issues and hated to be alone at her home. When she came to live with Katie and our family she never has to be alone. We have been able to get her off of all her anxiety medications.

Two Chicks: Here are few fun questions. What is your favorite industry blog? What is your favorite movie? What is your favorite type of music? And last, what is your secret obsession?
Beth: WOW! The favorite blog is Oh, She Glows… Vegan Recipes. I’m not vegan but I love myself when I am. Someday I hope to be vegan and wheat free; it’s not the meat I would miss, it’s the eggs and butter.
My favorite movie is Working Girl, my favorite type of music is Southern Rock and my secret (or not so secret obsession) would be the Hallmark Channel and Disney, Dogs, and kids. If I didn’t have my grandchildren, I would have foster children.
Two Chicks: We’ve talked about all of the fun stuff, let’s talk about Two Chicks. What is your background?
Beth: My background is in computers and engineering. When we moved to NC I was hired by a foodservice company and I fell in love with catering and big events. I spent as much time as I could with the corporate chefs and vendors to learn about food and flavors. I believe that a few good quality ingredients can make extraordinary recipes.
Two Chicks: What is your favorite thing about your job?
Beth: I love the opportunity to provide jobs for people who may not have any luck otherwise. I love to build people up.
Two Chicks: We love that! So, on that note, we know that Two Chicks is always involved with different charities. Tell us about that.
Beth: Two Chicks and a Pot picks at least two charities a year to support. We made Chemo Bags for kids at Nemours and Arnold Palmer hospitals and provided the supplies for a fundraiser for St. Baldrick’s.
We provided lunch for the Michael Gene Foundation golf tournament and will be catering for The Haven for Children this year.
I am hopeful this year I will be able to teach children from the Boys and Girls Clubs to cook from scratch and to supply afterschool snacks for them.
Thank you, Beth. It’s been really fun to get to interview you for this segment.
