No Surprises: Understanding Your Catering Bill

April 19, 2018 / by twochicks / Leave a Comment

bride surprise when reading her catering bill

Too often, couples looking who book catering services for their wedding feel like caterers have misled them.

Couples talk to a caterer, see unbelievable inexpensively priced food items on their website and catering menus, then they get a proposal or worse yet; they jump right in and book them.

Suddenly, what appears to be inexpensive becomes a very expensive proposition because some caterers list food, hard goods or rentals and staffing separately.

We have a TOTALLY different philosophy when it comes to our guest experience and what we offer.

First things First: we do not have Catering Menus and have no plans to use them!

Yes, we have our fan favorite foods. They are items we have become known for or that prospective customers may have had at another event and request repeatedly.

variety of menu ideas for wedding

However, our goal is to get to know each couple, what their event is, what they are looking for in the way of guest experience and food, and of course, what their budget might be. Therefore, we only have customized menus.

When we share wedding package information and pricing with a couple it includes the following:

  • Dinnerware
  • Water glasses
  • Cutlery
  • Disposable napkins
  • Water carafes and water for each table
  • Salt and pepper for each table
  • 1 server for every 25 guests

It is pretty simple – food, china, glassware, and staff.

In addition,  you can enhance your wedding day with other options we offer. We often see couples requesting:

  • Bartending Package
  • Month of Coordination
  • Coffee Station
  • Nonalcoholic beverage station
  • Chargers
  • Bridal party snack box (delivered 2 hours before the ceremony)

We are happy to discuss these other options up front when we discuss your custom catering package.

Meeting your budget is important, but there is so much more to having an amazing catered event than the cost.

Our dedication to using fresh, local, natural ingredients to create delicious food is a huge part of our service. However, custom designing a menu for you, your family and friends that includes upfront pricing with your dinnerware and staffing is a piece that truly sets our wedding catering apart.
